Biosketch
Dr. Decker is Associate Professor of Economics
in the Department of Economics at the University of Nebraska Omaha. He received his PhD from the University of Indiana. Dr. Decker's current research interests and areas of expertise include environmental and energy economics, industrial organization, regional economics, land use economics, forecasting, and economic history. His work has been published in the Journal of Law and Economics, Ecological Economics, Contemporary Economic Policy, Growth and Change, Journal of Economic Research, and the Eastern Economic Journal. He has served as a reviewer for the Journal of Economics, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, the Review of Economics and Statistics, and the Journal of Public Economics. Professor Decker is a member of the American Economics Association, Western Economics Association, and the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists. Before joining the University of Nebraska, Dr. Decker provided forecasting related to energy pricing and consumption, macroeconomic factors, and forecasting for the US construction industry for DRI/WEFA and FW Dodge/McGraw-Hill. He was also involved in regional economic impact analysis and forecasting for the Center for Econometric Model Research at Indiana University.
