Biosketch
Kara is a recent graduate of Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, MD), with a degree in International Studies and Spanish. She was employed as an intern at the Lewin Group (Washington, DC) in the summer of 2007 and as an intern at the American Enterprise Institute (Washington, DC) in the spring of 2007. At Lewin she researched and compiled data for evaluation reports on refugee resettlement and welfare services for federal clients, and participated in other research projects relating to federal human services. At AEI Kara conducted research on international development, public health, and intellectual property. She has also served as a coordinator of volunteers for the International Rescue Committee (New York, NY) and as worked for PNC Bank (Morris County, NJ). She spent a semester at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Madrid, Spain) and is fluent in Spanish.
