Biosketch
Ron Goeree, MA, is a Scientific Advisor with Oxford Outcomes. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CE&B) at McMaster University, where he received his undergraduate and graduate degrees, and Director of the PATH Research Institute in Hamilton. His research interests are centered around health technology assessment (HTA), decision modeling and economic evaluations. Ron teaches in the Health Research Methodology (HRM) Program, where he recently developed a new course in advanced decision analytic modeling and developed a Field of Specialization for graduate students in the HRM Program with a specific focus on HTA. Ron is involved in numerous research projects with both the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technology in Health (CADTH), and has been actively involved in reimbursement consultation and research for over 25 years. He has over 150 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and also has extensive experience as a consultant on research activities of government bodies, and with many other agencies and corporations.
