| Biosketch
Timothy Light is a general surgeon with additional fellowship training in critical care, burns, and trauma. Dr Light received a BA in Chemistry and Physics at Dartmouth College, and went on to receive an MD at New York Medical College. He completed an Internal Medicine Internship at the Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA before embarking on his surgical training at Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at University of Iowa where his responsibilities include patient care, medical education, and research. His current research interests include merging and analyzing secondary data sources such as registry data, claims data, hospital discharge data, and other data sources. He is completing coursework toward a Masters Degree in Clinical Investigation with the College of Public Health at the University of Iowa. He has published extensively with over 35 manuscripts, book chapters, and book reviews in the medical literature.
